1.
Your ship's come in to help you escape life's insanity Set sail to a place that's filled with dreams and fantasy You'll never know just what you'll find When you escape inside your mind Please step inside, all aboard Leave your baggage at the door What never was, what will never be Is waiting here to set you free So welcome now to the Dreaming World Where there are wonders to behold Dive down the rabbit hole and see where it leads There's plenty to find in this land of make-believe
2.
Welcome to the Dreaming World Please move along, its time to come home The grass is cool and green And as soft as a teddy bear The smiling sun's so warm It will bake away all your cares Take a gentle stroll Through the garden maze Or join the caterpillar In a smoky haze You'll find a sky so blue That it looks just like its a sea Of tiny islands Where you could spend eternity In the dreaming world Anything you want is here All you have to do Is step through the mirror dear
3.
They say that solitude can drive you mad Maybe I'm already there and that's why I don't care When I'm alone my thoughts stray far afield Then I don't know what is fake and what is real Most feel alone Me, I do very well My dreams will always be My great escape If I'd gone too far how would I notice When every mirage looks like an oasis There are no constraints here, I drift as I please I'm just a balloon floating on the breeze
4.
With darkness as my guide I've gone astray inside This realm of endless fantasy And lost touch with reality A wave of unease Washes over me Knocks me off my feet Drags me out to sea With nowhere to hide The nightmare takes me for a ride Past dark images of unspoken dread Through the valley of the dead
5.
I know you didn't go easy When it dragged you out to sea You fought like hell But still it pulled you in deep You have to prevent yourself from ever losing sight of the dream I know you're often felt That this fight was never yours Served extra rations of strife But babe this is par for the course
6.
Subconscious 04:03
Now I know Whether awake or dreaming I'm in control Of Whatever I am thinking And that is all A ship of perception floating a sea of stimuli Sailing through emotions under stormy skies Searching for lights on foggy shores Trying to refrain from going overboard Now the dream Has suddenly gone lucid And to me Everything's subjective And that is all
7.
8.
As the dawn king herald calls I can see right though the walls Discorporeal sounds, illusions fade While slowly I begin to wake I'll find a way To return again Until my dying day I won't lie For one single night Without seeking the way As I slowly drift from sleep The images all slip from me I cry a plea to let me stay And then the dream fades away
9.
I woke up this morning with the feeling that I'd left something behind But for the life of me I can't recall what was on my mind I feel like I made an escape and came back for you Then somehow I lost my way, Anyway It must have been a dream It was only just a dream I just can't shake this feeling of loss; it's got me tied up in knots Why can't I let it go, I guess I'll never know
